Family Engagement Consultant
Karen Lascelles, our Family Engagement Consultant, has been a mental health nurse for over 35 years and currently also works as a senior lecturer for mental health nursing. For the last 15 years Karen has had a clinical academic role specialising in the area of self-harm and suicide. She has extensive experience working with families bereaved by suicide and established a family liaison service within her previous NHS Trust. She completed a professional doctorate investigating the experiences and support needs of adults who care for an adult family member or friend they consider to be at risk of suicide..
